Community Acupuncture is individualized acupuncture treatments at affordable rates in a community setting. Research in the United States (as well as thousands of years of tradition in Asia) has shown that acupuncture is most effective when done frequently and regularly - once a week is usually the minimum required to make progress, and twice weekly can increase the success rate significantly. The purpose of our sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment; we want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better!
Fees for community acupuncture treatment are on a sliding scale, from $20-$40, plus a $10 extra fee at the time of the first visit only.
You may choose your payment within this range, based on what you can afford. We do make suggestions about payment, based on income, but the decision is up to you.
When making this decision, please keep in mind that chronic health problems often require more acupuncture, in order to get the best possible results. We'd rather see you twice a week and have you pay $20 or $25 a visit than to have you come once a week and pay $40.
